For the latest information on Equality and Diversity including the Public Sector Equality Duty – click here Our Single Equality Scheme sets out our general approach and the specific action we are undertaking to deliver diversity and equality across the organisation and the area in which we operate. Diversity and equality, for us, includes everyone, and takes account of age, disability, race, gender, sexual orientation and religion. This is a flexible and live Scheme. We will add to and amend it in the light of experience and lessons learnt. Key to this are the views of the people we serve and work with, including all our patients, staff, service users and members of local communities. Consultation and participation is an essential part of the process, and we are asking for your feedback and views on the Scheme. Please see the explanatory forward for more details including how to give us your views. The consultation runs until the end of February 2010. Single Equality Scheme document.
