Non-Executive Director

Tim first joined the Board in March 2007 and was reappointed in January 2009 for another four years.

Tim has extensive experience in the public and private sectors and serves as a Board member of Colchester Borough Homes Ltd on the Essex Probation Board.  He is a former Non-Executive Director of the Essex Ambulance Service NHS Trust.

He is a Labour councillor and has been a member of Colchester Borough Council since 1992, having previously served as Portfolio Holder for Housing, Community Safety and Health.  Since May 2008, Tim has been Street and Waste Services Portfolio Holder.

Having enjoyed a 20-year career in the financial services industry, Tim now works as a consultant advising local government on improvement, recovery and inspection programmes.

Tim was born and bred in north east Essex and has extensive knowledge of the area served by NHS North East Essex as he was born and educated in Clacton-on-Sea where many of his family members still live.  He himself lived there for many years and still visits regularly.

Tim has lived in Colchester with his wife and three children since 1984.
