NHS North Essex is committed to supporting and working in partnership with cancer patient groups and the Essex Cancer Network to improve information on the cancer services available across North East Essex.   

NHS North East Essex acknowledges that current or former cancer patients themselves are often the best people to guide cancer patients on the care pathway. This is because through the knowledge and experience they have gained while having their life affected by cancer they have gained first hand experience that they can share to help patients and carers and to improving cancer service information, and the service itself.
 
As a result the User Involvement Groups across Essex have an information guide so that cancer patients and carers can access information in relation the services available. The guide is designed to introduce patients and carers to the services available and how to access them.
