Seasonal flu campaign

Anyone who has had flu will know it is not just a cold.  You can expect to have high fevers, chills, extreme fatigue and aching muscles, as well as the more cold-like symptoms of sore throats and runny noses.  Flu can last for up to two weeks and can be particularly dangerous for people at higher risk of complications because of an underlying health problem.

Annual General Meeting

Last year we published our strategy to improve the health and wellbeing of people living in north east Essex, reduce health inequalities and transform health services by making resources go further, through various initiatives that would provide long term improvements in patient care.

At this year’s AGM we will be reporting on our progress to date.
 
To find out what happened, you are invited to join us on Wednesday 14th September, 4.30pm – 6.00pm, at the PCT, Turner Road, Colchester. Attendees are welcome to arrive at the PCT from 4.00pm for light refreshments.

27 July 2011: COPD: Know it. Check it. Treat it, a campaign to raise awareness of a serious lung disease called chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)  has been launched by NHS North East Essex today in collaboration with local healthcare professionals to help find potentially 2,500 people in the area who may have the disease, but are unaware.
