What is a tender?
A tender is a formal offer to carry out work or supply goods for a fixed price.
 
What is a Memorandum of Information (MOI)?
This provides an overview and details of the procurement, along with its objectives.  Also the PCT's service requirements, how the procurement process will work, procurement governance and administration requirements.
 
This will also provide potential bidders with some background information about the service that will be tendered to enable them to make a decision about whether or not they wish to participate.
 
What is a Pre Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ)?
This questionnaire enables us to make sure we identify the most suitable suppliers/providers to invite to tender.
 
What is an Invitation to Tender (ITT)?
A formal request to obtain information from the supplier for their proposal to the tender.

What is Any Qualified Provider (AQP)?
A range of providers all of whom meet NHS standards and price.  Further information is available at the Supply2Health AQP Resource Centre.
 
Can we submit a joint proposal with another company?
Yes, as long as the proposal details all the relevant information about who will be leading the bid.
 
If we are unsuccessful with a tender, can we bid on any future tenders?
Yes, any previous bids are not taken into consideration.
